Yes! I went there... but I think ISO9000 is just as overused as that meme :)

Oh, if I remember right, you're wrong. ISO9000 is easy. You can create a management handbook that states "Rule 1: quality is ensured by creating no documentation of any process at all". Here you go. ISO 9001 is quite a different story. Oh, if you want to have fun, read how ISO9002 works :D

Well... it's mostly called "ISO 9000" around here - sort of the "base standard". And if you have somebody who is only trained in "process management" or similar stuff, they will not write just one rule I can tell you that from personal experience :D
The idea of a "project manager" is to have somebody who takes care of all of the red tape so that people who *should* work on the project *can* work on the project. In real life however it's often the people who are on a powertrip and want to keep "delegating" work that get these positions and pesto: they sit there "overseeing" everybody instead of doing their job... :(

EDIT: Oh and "ISOver9001" wouldn't sound so meme-ic :) Also, have you seen the second installment? "But it was CHEAP!" I just realized I didn't post it in LJ...

*nods* I know, I know. Sometimes it's the same here at work. Not getting any proper job description but "something like that" and the rat's tail is always gonna be looooong.

Oh, the second one is fun too! :)
