So I decided to dust off the "old sketchbook" and try again. I realized that while I have pretty good paper by now, I do need some decent pencils: I only have cheap ones or technical mechanical ones... neither of which are "comfortable" to draw with: the cheap ones "scrape" and don't produce even lines - the technical ones aren't much fun to hold.
I didn't expect much - I have tried drawing before but never got around practicing. Let's just say you might be able to count the number of drawings I've done that aren't copies of "how to's" or comic books on one hand.
So, here we go, my first submission to FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1887921/
Will I ever get around practicing? Will I produce or upload more art? Only time will tell. Watch me at FA if you're interested, since I'm not going to spoil LJ with submission infos - this is just because it's my first public embarrassment :)
My goal? To gain practice and be able to sketch a reasonably well comic book type of character within minutes, not hours! Good artists sketch their characters within seconds, so I don't think I'm aiming too high.
